QUEEN VICTORIA MIRROR FRAME

Measuring 29" x  22", the mirror is believed to have been specially created for Queen Victora. It passed into the possession of Horace Manning Mann, Houston, Texas, through the generosity of HRH the Duke of Windsor, who was on the Board of Directors of a Canadian oil company with which Horace had connections. Learning of his interest in Belleek, the Duke told him about the mirror which was in the Palace and donated it to Horace. Then, in 1988, at the auction of Mr Mann's collection, Florence Birks bought the mirror for the Birks Museum, Millikin University, Decatur.

From the Birks Museum collection.
