Miscellaneous Figurines and Ornaments
The range of miscellaneous items produced by Belleek in its heyday was quite amazing but records are scant and many were probably "one off" or prototype designs so unrecorded pieces are continually turning up. Unfortunately this lack of information makes it difficult to find out how many of the pieces were made and rarity has to judged from experience. Among the most unusual pieces are the Carnation, a charming piece, housed in the Dublin Museum and the Turkey, which is well designed and executed in great detail, standing about 8" tall, but difficult to understand why it was made. The Cenotaph is another unusual and interesting piece which seems to have little purpose. It would be reasonable to conclude that these three pieces were "singles", but the taking into consideration the time and the labour involved in preparing the moulds etc. for making them, it would seem unlikely that they would have gone to that trouble for "one off" pieces unless they were perhaps apprentice pieces or maybe personal gifts etc. from craftsmen at the pottery.

Among other designs registered by Belleek, Jack at Sea and Jack on the Shore, were registered on 13 November, 1869 though being re-introduced in the 1st Green period, they remain rare.
