Centre Pieces

THE TOOTHBRUSH DISH

This piece is in fact Porcelain, not earthenwear as might be expected.

WATER LILY ON ROCKS (right)

PRINCE OF WALES CENTRE PIECE

Another view of a Prince of Wales Piece. The horse also figures on the lid of the Ice Pail. The plate on the top of piece is the correct one.

COMPORT PIERCED AND LIDDED

A very unusual piece, jewelled and pierced, much in the style of Royal Worcester. Cutting the holes in this piece would not only have taken a considerable amount of time but the piece required to be kept damp whilst the cutting was taking place otherwise it would become too brittle, and the cutting would not work.
Examples of this Comport can be seen in some of the early Belleek photographs.

BELLEEK MARKS (right)

The Comport with that of a Toothbrush Dish, both having the same unusual colour.

13" high. Very rare in perfect condition.
From Charles & Andy Oster's Collection.
